Brothers of the Tor
The collection of kingdoms and republics that make up the northern continent east of the Bythennian Empire are old proud lands with a deep rich tradition. The culture and borders predate the rise of the Empire, and though the Eastern Realms long lived under the rule of Bythos, they never lost their national identities and were quick to reestablish themselves after the Empire’s fall.
Though the Eastern Realms vary culturally quite significantly from state to state, they do share a common economic structure (one based off mineral wealth) and all feel it is their divine right to rule all lands east of the Bythennian Empire. Several of the Eastern Kingdoms (Caliban chief amongst them), have strong diplomatic ties with the Marcher Kingdoms in the west and the Thacian Warring States to the south. They also all share the common belief that the Bythennian Empire cannot be allowed to return to its former glory and rule the world unopposed once again.
Though slavery is not a pillar of society in the east as it is in the Empire, the class system is incredibly rigid and strict, and the level of serfdom is unparalleled to anywhere else in the world.
